I’m porting ZeroC ICE to the mingw32 compiler using gcc 3.4.5 (the latest stable version on Win32, although we intend to use gcc 4 as soon as it is available on Windows). We’d like to be able to use the same compiler both in Windows and Linux and gcc seems a good option. Yes, I already know the Intel C/C++ compiler but it won’t work for use due to ABI incompatibility.
Hi pgquiles: Stumbled on your blog courtesy of google (also found your posts on the Zeroc forums). Do you plan on making your MinGW build patches available for public consumption. I’m working on an multiplatform open source project that could benefit from ICE. The only thing holding me back is the lack of gcc support on windows.
